Location, location, location!

What kind of venue will set the stage for one of your most memorable days? The beauty of living in the DC- Maryland-Virginia area is that we have a plethora of different types of venues to choose from. We have farms, waterfront, garden, beautiful hotels, unique, historic and industrial. Really, just so many different, beautiful places. Of course, some venue types come with a hefy price tag, but some might not be as expensive as you might think. 

If you're thinking a farm, consider: 

Rocklands Farm (it's also a winery) 

The Barn at Grimmel Farms

If you're thinking waterfront, consider: 

Herrington on the Bay

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club 

If you're thinking a garden wedding, consider: 

Brookside Gardens

Cylburn Arboretum 

If you're thinking a hotel ballroom, consider: 

Any Kimpton Monaco hotels (The Kimpton brand is fantastic and very inclusive!)

Park Hyatt Washington

If you're thinking a unique, outside of the box venue, consider: 

Corradetti Glassblowing Studio (I might be biased because I got married here myself!)

If you're thinking a historic venue, consider:

Gutierrez Studios (they don't advertise that they're a wedding venue, but contact them for more information)

Now once you decide what type of venue you want, you need to start contacting (or have your planner contact) the venues you're interested in, to check to see if your wedding date is available (no reason to visit a bunch of sites that don't have the date you want available), then start visiting those sites. Once you've narrowed down the search to the one you want, book them! Lots of venues are booked out a year or more in advance, and you don't want to lose out on your dream venue!
